CLOAK: Queer Science, Fashion & Photography launched on the Broadway Screen at UTS Gallery during Pride Amplified, part of Sydney WorldPride. Twelve diverse scientists, recruited by open call, participated in two workshops led by photographer Cherine Fahd and fashion theorist Todd Robinson. In the first, scientists were paired with UTS fashion students to design new garments from worn-out lab coats. The second workshop captured the emotional moment when designers presented their creations. These lab coats, once symbols of neutrality, became expressions of identity, allowing scientists to feel both safe and seen for who they are.
