Giovanna De Pontes is an emerging fashion designer based in Sydney. Giovanna is currently a student in the Fashion + Textiles program at UTS.
Giovanna writes:
“In redesigning the lab coat, I wanted to incorporate the many aspects of Solenne’s vibrant personality. I first dyed pieces of the coat purple and green; Solenne’s favourite colour combination. I then created patches and removed the D from ‘Demo’ to spell ‘Emo’, making a playful reference to Solenne’s music taste. The final design of the coat was created to make Solenne feel like she could express her personal interests inside the lab environment.”
