“I love when I’m with the Bees and by the end of the day, you are saturated in a “golden pollen shower”.”
“The cloak is inspired by the blue banded and neon cuckoo bees, the trans and gay community, pride and drag, the canvas of the cloak has been hand-painted, sewn, foiled and embroidered into a reanimated fanciful environment of representation, visuality, low vibrational buzz, Urolagnia, sugary nurtured behaviour and archival Mardi Gras float material. I wanted to capture Faelan’s scientific garb to reflect experiences of his queer science and identity.”
