Victoria Psarros for Victoria Fu
Victoria Fu is a Biomedical science graduate from UTS who is passionate about human health and her local community in Western Sydney.
Victoria Psarros is an emerging fashion designer and an upcoming graduate of the Fashion + Textiles program at UTS.
“The lab coat design was inspired by my personal journal while at university. When I was younger, I struggled with my own self-worth, and I found it difficult to accept many aspects of my identity, including my sexuality, because of the environment I grew up in. Throughout my biomedical studies at UTS, I met a wonderful community of people who inspired me, and I decided to start a journey of self-improvement. As a result, I became more comfortable in my skin and found a sense of self. I started building my personal style and embracing things I missed.
I see the lab coat as the culmination of that - it’s cute and lilac and proudly represents my personal and academic growth as a woman in STEM.”
